Walk off the Earth
Walk off the Earth is a great group and it is likely that they may have covered a few songs that you enjoy. They are more than just a cover group, they bring a whole new "orchestration" to each piece they cover, and look good while doing it. I do not believe that their videos are ever live sound, but regardless, they make songs fun by performing musical stunts that contribute to their videos.

Clair de lune, Debussy
The first piece that I will write about is Claude Debussy's (1862-1918) Clair de lune. This is a remarkably relaxing piano piece from the 3rd movement of Suite Bergamasque (written in 1888/published 1903).
This piece exhibits so many qualities that would draw me towards Ternary form. Ternary form is a three-part A-B-A form. This appears true as the music makes its way back to the A theme with a coda.
I really enjoy watching Graphical Scores as a stepping stone to understanding music. With these graphical scores it is easy to see the voicing, range, harmonic space, and sustain of the music. Watch and relax to the following video.

How I will set this up.
Rather than cluttering Facebook with youtube videos I discover, I will use this blog to publish new music that I find or hear about within the eclectic genres that I listen too. I will attempt to grow musically through this blog by analyzing some of the music as well.
Enjoy!
